See if You're Sabotaging Your Skin
|
Do you get zits a lot? Maybe it's just because you've got your facts mixed up. Read on to figure out if you're "sabotaging" your own skin. Steps
- Take this quiz. These are true or false statements.
- If my zit cream doesn't work in a few days, I should give up. (False. Why? If you're treating a brand new zit, it can take up to a week to work.)
- I should pluck hairs on my face everyday. (False. Why? By plucking, you're pulling out short strands that are hard to grasp. This causes redness.)
- I don't need sunscreen if my makeup has SPF. (False. SPF in makeup is much less effective.)
- I should wash my oily face three or more times a day. (False. This makes your skin think it's dry, so it'll start creating more oil. Just wash your face twice a day and keep oil blotting sheets.)
- I don't need to moisturize my face if I have acne. (False. Acne medications dry out the zit and your skin overall. This increases oil production which can give you more acne.)
- If you answered true to three or more questions, you need to keep these facts in mind and keep your border lines.
- Have an emergency zit kit. A zit cream, a redness relief cream, a concealer stick, and translucent powder that absorbs oil should be all that you need.
Tips
- If you apply makeup, do your daily skin treatment before you apply makeup.
- Before you wash your face for the second time in one day, remove all makeup worn.
Warnings
- Make sure you're not allergic to any of the products used.
