Control Psoriasis

Many "cures" for psoriasis have been published, normally to make money. If none of these have worked for you, try the deep moisturizing and sunlight treatments suggested below.

Steps
Deep Moisturizing Treatment
  1. Use equal portions (Approximately) of St. Ives 24 Hour Moisture Lotion and Blue Emu™ Soothing Formula twice per day.
  2. Warm both products in a microwave, being careful not to overheat.
  3. Then, heat the products separately with caps or lids off; the time will vary with your microwave strength and how full the lotion is. The Blue Emu should take 20% of the time that the lotion takes.
  4. Mix equal portions in your hands and apply it to the needed area.
  5. Heating the lotion seems like a lot of extra work to get your skin moisturized.
Sunlight Treatment
  1. As most people with psoriasis will tell you, a few days at the beach will do wonders. Use a "Light Box" treatment. The best is UVB narrowband.
Petroleum Jelly Method
  1. A very simple method to eradicate psoriasis is to apply petroleum jelly (vaseline or Bioline). Just apply petroleum jelly evenly after bath every day for three months and see the difference.

Tips
  • The solution comes from within you, not your dermatologist.
  • Take a yoga class. Relaxation seems to play a key role in treating your psoriasis.

Warnings
  • If your condition does not improve, stop using this and try a different treatment. Also see your dermatologist.
  • If you heat your moisturizer, test the temperature before pouring it into your hands. The lotion can burn you if it's too hot. If the outside of the bottle is hot, let it cool down before using.

There is no known cure or treatment for this condition.
