Reduce Rosacea

Rosacea is a condition that is characterized by redness, pimples, and sometimes even thickened skin, (although this usually occurs when it is at an advanced stage). Although there is no cure for the skin condition Rosacea there are some things that you can do to to help minimize it.

  1. Talk to a dermatologist and have them prescribe a proper medication for Rosacea. Certain topical irritants and medications for general acne have been shown to progress, not fight, Rosacea.
  2. Receive treatment, which varies widely from person to person, and can includes medication, creams, and surgery.
  3. Avoid triggers of Rosacea. Learn what causes your Rosacea to flare up by keeping a log over time. Triggers can include exposure to the elements, certain foods, strenuous exercise, and stress. Make changes to your lifestyle so you can avoid your specific triggers.



Tips
  • To reduce redness caused by Rosacea, you can try green-tinted makeup.
  • Try using a mild moisturizer, but discontinue to use if you have a flare-up.

  • People can sometimes suffer from depression because of the condition of their skin.
