Get Rid of Rosy Cheeks

If you have a condition called rosecea, or just have very rosy cheeks, and you'd like to minimize it, then this is the guide for you. It may seem like you'll never get the look you desire, but it's easier than it sounds.

Steps
  1. Wash your face; the first part of any beauty regiment is to wash your face. When you're trying to get rid of rosy cheeks, you're going to be using a fair amount of makeup on your face. If you have dirt and oil on your face, not only will you trap it all in your pores, your makeup will also not stick.
  2. Apply a moisturiser; Try to find one with a greenish tint. This will counteract the red in your face. There are concealers with green in them, but they tend to become chalky when used on larger areas. They're better used on scars and inflamed pimples. Wait for about ten minutes for the moisturiser to soak into your skin.
  3. Apply a light concealer; Use one that matches your skin tone. If you use one that's much lighter or darker than your skintone, your rosiness will stand out that must more. Plus, if you use one that's too off of your skin tone, you'll need more concealer to even out the rest of your face.
  4. Foundation; Apply foundation with a foundation brush. Squirt a dime sized amount onto the back of your hand and dip the brush into it. Starting at the centre of your face, blend the foundation out to the edges of your face. Do not apply more on the red areas. Blend away the rosiness. Once again, find a foundation that matches your skin tone. Go too dark or too light and you'll draw attention to what's wrong with it.
  5. Powder; If your face has a little bit of shine, apply a little bit of pressed powder to your face. This will neutralize the oils that will eventually melt away your makeup over the course of the day. Try not to apply loose powder, as you already have a lot of makeup on your face.

Tips
  • Play up your eyes and/or lips. Doing this will take attention away from your cheeks
  • Try to get a foundation that has illuminators, or light reflecting particles. They will give yourself a glow that no blush or rosiness could give you!
  • Remember, foundation and concealer are there to enhance your skin tone, not recreate it.
  • Use a highlighter to illuminate parts of your face, such as your brow bone, inner corners of eyes, and your cupid's bow.

Warnings
  • This requires quite a bit of makeup, so make sure you wash it off before you go to bed and apply a spot treatment on your spots.
  • If you have sensitive skin, find products with salycilic acid.
