He had sarcoidosis, which is an inflammatory lung disease. Yeah, it produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs. He was hospitalized with an infection which later turned out to be pneumonia. He died from complications of his pneumonia. Such a shame, only 50 years old, R.I.P. Loved him in Friday and the Ocean's series with George Clooney and all those other guys. Hope I helped.
I think the thing your talkin about that starts with an S is sarcoidosis which caused bumps on his lungs which i believe he got from smoking. This disease went into remission in 2005. As the others said he died from complications of pneumonia and it has been brought out that weeks prior he had begun taking a prescription medicine that affected his immune system.
It involves inflammation that produces tiny lumps of cells in various organs in your body. The lumps are called granulomas because they look like grains of sugar or sand. They are very small and can be seen only with a microscope.
