or a bug (bacteria of some sort) has got into your sinus, or mucus in your throat and is slowly travelling down to your respiratory system and each day you are getting worse.

I like homemade chicken and veg soup when I'm sick.
I add a little bit of curry powder and a dash of sweet chilli sauce, to "kill" the bugs.

It sounds like you have pyrexia, wich is a symptom of other conditions.
If you have a continuous fever: Temperature remains above normal throughout the day and does not fluctuate more than 1°C in 24 hours, e.g. lobar pneumonia, typhoid, urinary tract infection, brucellosis, or typhus. Typhoid fever may show a specific fever pattern, with a slow stepwise increase and a high plateau.
Intermittent fever: Elevated temperature is present only for some hours of the day and becomes normal for remaining hours, e.g. malaria, kala-azar, pyaemia, or septicemia. In malaria, there may be a fever with a periodicity of 24 hours (quotidian), 48 hours (tertian fever), or 72 hours (quartan fever, indicating Plasmodium malariae). These patterns may be less clear in travelers.
Remittent fever: Temperature remains above normal throughout the day and fluctuates more than 1°C in 24 hours, e.g. infective endocarditis.
If you have health insurance I would see a doctor right away. If you would need to pay to see a doctor it probably isn't worth it unless your temperature rises above 39°C. If it breaks 40°C go to emergency.
