Stop Reading Wikihow

wikiHow is a wonderful community of so many rich and diverse topics. It is terribly engaging and one can get him or herself caught up in reading article after article, page after page. However, when is enough? How can we stop?

Steps
  1. Decide that it's time for a change of scenery. This mostly comes after having spent several hours, or months browsing through articles. There's a point where there must be a conscious decision to do something else.
  2. Close the browser window. In Windows, that usually means clicking the little [X] in the top right corner of the screen. If you're using MAC OS, Linux, B, or any other operating system, refer to the manual or improvise.
  3. Do something else. This may include visiting a different website Wikipedia, for instance, has many engaging articles), using the rest room, helping your elderly neighbor rake leaves or go shopping, or perhaps you could play a musical instrument (the trombone's a good one).
  4. Remove from your bookmarks and toolbars any links which will allow you to get to wikiHow without typing the address in your address line.

Tips
  • If you're not quite ready for a change of activities, then read on. You can bookmark this page and return to it when you feel that the time is right.
  • Windows short-cut keys for closing a window are [Alt]+[F4] and [Ctrl]+[W].
  • Mac OS short-cut keys for quitting an application is [CMD]+[Q].
  • If you're having trouble looking for something else to do, or need advice in just how to perform a certain task, then by all means, visit wikiHow and see what experts and laymen alike have to say.
  • Some say it can't be done.
