Reduce Tiredness from Watching TV All Day

Just had your cable installed? Well Your hours of TV time are going to increase. And having your eyes fixed on a screen for hours can cause aching eyes or soreness and, of course, headaches.

Steps
  1. Try watching less television.
  2. Skip commercial ads by looking elsewhere, thus resting your eyes.
  3. If a scene is long and common place and the characters are just plainly talking, again look elsewhere, while you can still hear everything.
  4. Don't use the computer and watch TV at the same time. Doing both at intervals or without rest can cause problems like insomnia and headaches.
  5. Make a determined effort to reduce TV watching. There are probably lots of other things you should be doing or would like to be doing. Turn off the TV and try doing them, leaving the TV as a reward rather than a way of "winding down" or "chilling out".

Tips
  • Sit at a reasonable distance, depending on the size of your screen.
  • If you have little room, get a smaller set.

Warnings
  • Always remember if your eyes feel sour, stop watching and do something else.
