Seek Professional Help for Inappropriate Sexual Fantasies
|
Everybody has inappropriate fantasies, but how do you get help for them? Too embarrassed to talk to your friends and/or family? Read on! Steps
- Ask you doctor if he/she can tell you if there is a good psychologist/psychiatrist they know that you can consult. Remember, you don't have to say why you want to see one.
- If they point you in the right direction, great! Now all you need to do is just schedule an appointment or two (or however many the psychologist/psychiatrist says you need), and things will work out.
- If you can't find a psychologist/psychiatrist though your doctor, you'll simply have to ask your friends, family, or even consult the yellow pages for a good psychiatrist/psychologist.
- Repeat step number two.
Tips
- Make sure that you're not just going through puberty, most kids think about that a lot at that stage.
- Make sure the psychiatrist/psychologist you see is legit (an actual doctor). Being scammed is "not" fun.
Warnings
- Don't expect a miraculous result. These things take time.
- Don't start thinking less of yourself. You are who you are, and nothing can change that.
