You have mold in your bedroom.

you should see a doctor. until then, sleep with your head elevated so that the phlegm doesn't build up in great portions by the morning.

Vava L
Maybe because your drinken or eating to much cold things. You should drink cough medicine and eat soup stuff like that to clear all the sickness

I had the same thing for up to a year.
When the doctor prescribed an antibiotic i didn't take it all regularly like i should have.
So make sure you take it the way the directions say you should.
I know it's a horrible feeling but it eventually went away.
cough up all that phlegm every morning and every time you have it.

It gets better at night but in the morning it seems to get bad again.

go to the doctor and tell him/her exactly what happening. Don't forget to take the prescription like the directions say to!

You should really go and see a doctor as soon as you can. If you need to check out the Mayo Clinic at mayoclinic.com to get an idea of what you may have and ways to get over it.

Hm... I'd guess allergies. I use to be like you. I'd wake up, practically hack up a lung and mucus, then throughout the day I was fine. At night there would be some coughing but it wasn't too bad. Then I got some allergie medicine and it helps alot.

But I'd definatly call my doctor. You don't have to go, just call the doctor tell them your symptoms and they'll tell you what to do from there.

water water water,, and some allergy pills, it is snot that isnt draining into your stomach,, sounds like you have allergies and that means you need to at least double the daily dose of water, to make the drainage go down,

maybe bronchitis? you should probably go see a doc though.

Bien
your cough is a defense mechanism of your body telling you that there is someting in your lungs that needs to come out. if your phlegm is green you nid an antibiotic and lots and lots of fluids, get vitamin C supplements also. but the best thing to do is go to doctor. you will feel better after going to the doc.

well the pleghm indicates you have some kind of infection....this is a producct of bacteria...get to a doc and get sorted some antibiotics

Mary Smith
First, have you seen a doctor.

Liquid Metal!!
Phlegm may be of several different colors.

1.Yellow phlegm is normally a sign of an infection. The initial state of the common flu when the phlegm is still clear is the most infectious period. When the phlegm turns into yellow, the body is already taking care of the infection.
2.Greenish or brownish phlegm is nearly always a sign of infection. Greenish or rusty phlegm or phlegm with rusty spots can also be a sign of pneumonia and/or internal micro-bleedings.

got to a doc if it doesnt dissapear in couple of days!!

MissLady
if it is green it could be an infection starting...or just allergies...I had a cough that lasted forever my doctor told me to take claritin over the counter and for thirty days it really helped and it went away...ask your doctor what they think of taking that or go get an x ray of your chest to make sure it is not anything serious

ronaldblades@btinternet.com
do you smoke...as this could be the cause. If you dont smoke it could be one of those coughs that will go as quickly as it came...GO TO THE CHEMIST AND ASK THE ASSISTANT AND SHE WILL ADVISE ON A SUITABLE COUGH MEDICINE AND ALSO GIVE ADVICE IF THE COUGH PERSISTS.

green/white phlegm indicates a probable upper respiratory infection (URI). It could be in your lungs, bronchial tubes or sinuses. See a doctor. A course of antibiotics will probably put you right.
