Bad cough and fever?
I have this really deep cough. It sometimes brings up that yellowish/white goopy stuff (i forget what its called). I have a fever of 100.2 and I've been like this for a about a week and it seems to be getting worse. I went to my regular doctor but she said it's just a cold. The thing is, I've had this cough before and each time she says it's something different. Should I go to like an ear nose and throat doctor? Thanks in advance :) Additional Details

sounds like a bad infection, you should be on antibiotics, otherwise left untreated it could develop into something nasty like pneumonia or influenza.

A cold takes about 7-10 days to be around.
Anything after the 7 day mark that gets worse means the virus has settled in your sinus, lungs etc. So I'd go back to the MD and if you don't get a good diagnosis change doctors.
A specialist is for something that you reoccur - meaning if you had a cough forever, sinus infections.

I assume you are young and generally healthy which makes serious pneumonia or other lung pathology unlikely. An ENT doctor will not be helpful for a respiratory problem but in all likelihood this will burn out in the next few days.
The vast majority of people with symptoms you describe have viral infections. In the event this does not resolve in the next 5 days, things get signficantly worse or new symptoms develop go to your doctor again.
If you feel this cough is happening often keep a diary of when these episodes are to show your doctor, 3/4 times a year is not unusal.
In the meantime some over the counter cold&flu medication will lower your fever and make you feel a lot better.
