Do you wear a hearing aid behind your ear? Do you have trouble removing the ear wax that inevitably gets on it? Here's an easy way to get the job done.
Steps
- Detach the ear piece and tube from the electronics.
- Make a cleaning bath solution from false tooth cleaner; a tablet is best. (After all, some people with hearing aids also have false teeth.)
- Soak the ear piece, and the tube if you wish.
- Let them air dry.
- Reassemble the hearing aid.
Tips
- This method is recommended on the Phonak web site - they are hearing aid manufacturers.
Warnings
- Do not use this method on a hearing aid that's worn in the ear.
