Yes, it's also possible to be shot in the head and not die. There have been many lucky stab victims who have survived. It is very unlikely though, and I would say most people die.

Absolutely. As long as you don't puncture any major organs or blood vessels. Of course, you'd most likely need immediate medical care so you wouldn't bleed-out.

yes. depending on the location and the length of the weapon though. upper back stabs could be fatal, since possible organs that might get the injuries are lungs and heart. and one could also possibly die of too much bleeding if not properly attended.
