Did someone rub their butt on your pillow or on your face? Cause thats how you can get it.

It might just be a draft in the room. If you're worried, go see a doc.

Pink Eye is actually in medical terms called: Conjunctivitis. It's more simple term is a cold in your eye. If your eyes are only watering, you don't have Pink Eye. You can't miss Pink Eye because your eye or eyes will be streaming out a runny looking mucus and nothing but a visit to the eye doctor will help in that case. Pink Eye is very contagious and often it's a direct result of blowing your nose and or blowing a child's nose and then contaminating your eye with your contaminated fingers. It's a good idea to keep your fingers away from your eyes and wash your hands after caring for a person with a cold or sick child.

Its considered "pink eye" when you go to your doctor and he/she TELLS you its pink eye.

The next question would be...Is it bacterial or viral? Antibiotic drops can be prescribed if its bacterial; nothing can be prescribed if its viral. Both types are very contagious, but if its bacterial, you are considered to no longer be contagious after your on the drops for 24-48 hrs. When its viral, you are considered to be contagious for as long as it takes to go away. In either case, you'll need to chronically wash your hands after each time you touch your face, wash your pillow cases and bath towels every day. Do not use any cosmetics near your eyes because it can contaminate your make-up and reinfect you.

You really shouldn't take it upon yourself to try to "cure" it. Make an appointment to see your doctor and have them diagnose it. Do you wear contacts? If so and if you've been wearing them while you've been having this problem, its likely you'll have to throw them away and get a new pair as they have been contaminated and will reinfect you as well.
