Could I get Pink Eye?
So my friend was sick from school yesterday,because he had pink eye. He came back today, and said that it had been 24 hours so it was okay for him to back in school. Well I'm pretty sure that I like touched his hand, and then later on in the day i put in his eye drops. Now about 6 hours later my right eye is really bugging me and when I looked at in it was blood shot more than it usually is. I just want to know if there's anyway that I could get pink eye? I'm also wearing contacts and was weraing them earlier if that helps! Additional Details Oh sorry I stated something wrong, I didn't put the eyedrops in MY EYES, i put them in HIS EYES, for him! But he held his eye open...not me. Sorry!

YOU TOOK ALL THE STEPS NECCESSARY TO CONTRACT IT. what you didn't do was wash your hands and even use alchol after touching him. pink eye is very contagious. when you put his drops in for him, you should have worn gloves. even then there's a specific way to take gloves off so you still don't touch the infectious part. next time someone gets pink eye, back away! now you need to see your dr. this is VERY contagious.

Pink eye is very contagious. You could have easily contracted it from what you described, even if you did not use your friend's eye drops.
