Take the Sting out of a Burn

This method will help you alleviate a burning sensation.


Steps
  1. Make a paste from equal parts Aunt Jemima Syrup and Gold Medal All-Purpose Flour.
  2. Apply the paste to minor burns and cover with damp gauze for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the gauze.
  4. Let the mix set on your burn without the gauze to get some air.
  5. Rinse the mix off with cool water.
  6. Cover with a bandage



Tips
  • Aloe Vera is great for skin soothing. Apply the Aloe Vera after this treatment.
  • Vitamin E, applied topically, will quickly stop the pain of a first or second degree burn. However, you should avoid using this treatment for third-degree burns.
  • You can also rinse the mix off with cool water for 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the severity of the burn.
  • Vinegar is a natural burn remedy, pour vinegar over burned area, it immediately takes the sting away, even works on sunburn!



Warnings
  • This remedy does not replace a doctor's attention and is for minor burns. If the burn seems like it is not healing, or is taking a long time to heal, call your doctor's office for an appointment.
