Get Bug Bites to Stop Itching

Do you have a bug bite? This article will help you find relief.


Steps
  1. Stop scratching the bite. This will make any poisions, venom, ect. from the bite from spreading on your skin.
  2. Place an ice pack on the bite if the bite stings or burns.
  3. Apply hydrocortisone to the bite. This will stop the bite from itching and reduce inflammation.
  4. If hydrocortisone is not available, clean the bite with soap and water. Dry the bite. Then do the following.
  5. Baking soda Create a paste of baking soda and water. You should use 2 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon water
  6. Apply the paste to and around the bite.
  7. Every 30-45 minutes, wash the bite and reapply the paste.
  8. In either situation, take a Benadryl or other antihystamine if you are not allergic to it and if your doctor says it is permitted. Benadryl will reduce inflammation as well and stop the hystamine, the chemicals in your body causing the itch.



Warnings
  • If hives or other unusual bumps appear after being bitten, see a doctor immediately. This could be signs of a severe allergic reaction.
  • Remember to always follow the medicine packaging's directions of use.
