well all i know is that my cousin has it and when he was diagnosed with it he was really quite ill almost pneumonia type symptoms , now even though you get diagnosed with it doesn't actually mean that it is active his isn't thankfully he just got a really bad chest infection which led to respiratory failure which meant a chest drain and further tests which led to the diagnosis , they keep a check on him every 4 months because even though its no active or progressive it may well become that way at any time , it actually looks like snow flake formation and they slowly grow there is no cure at this time but we are all keeping our fingers crossed ,

HARM-CANCER I have a family member who is a millionaire now due to a law suit from asbestos. She developed cancer after her father brought the asbestos home on his work clothes each day.

Yes it is a proven killer. The specialist solicitors are Thompson.
They did my mates wife proud. There are two types of asbestos White and blue and comes in many forms. If you find it report it to the council environmental department.
It is hard to explain what it looks like. The only way to be 100% shore is to have it analyzed in some uses you don't even know it is there.

Asbestos produces a number of effects when inhaled chronically. It causes a diffuse fibrous scarring of the lungs. called asbestosis. It can also cause pulmonary hypertension and immunological effects but is most notorious for causing lung cancer and mesothelioma, ( a tumour of the lung lining ) never really seen in the absence of asbestos exposure.

There are a number of types of asbestos, 'blue' being the most toxic. Asbestos has been detected in indoor air, where it is released from a variety of building materials such as insulation and ceiling and floor tiles. Most cases of asbestosis or lung cancer in workers occur 15 years or more after the person was first exposed to asbestos. Most cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed 30 years or more after the first exposure to asbestos.
