Get Rid of Chapped Lips

Soft, smooth lips are very attractive, but often hard to achieve, especially in the cooler months of the year. Make your lips soft, smooth and totally kissable by following this fool-proof guide.

Steps
  1. Get a washcloth and run it under some warm water. Make sure it is not too hot or it will burn your lips and your face. Make sure the wash cloth is completely wet and squeeze it out to remove excess water.
  2. Rub the washcloth over your lips. Don't rub them too hard, rub them gently but firmly. Don't rub your lips for too long. If they start to burn, take the washcloth off, splash cool water on your lips and put some Vaseline on. Or use a soft bristled tooth brush to get rid of dead skin.
  3. Rinse out the washcloth and squeeze off the excess water. Then leave it to dry.
  4. Pat your lips dry and apply a coat of lip balm. This could be plain lip balm, an aloe vera lip balm or one with SPF protection. Make sure your lips are completely dry before you apply the lip balm.
  5. Apply lip gloss or a moisturizing lipstick over the top to make your lips moist and keep them smooth. This could be a nude lipstick or a coloured lipstick.
  6. Repeat this process as many times as you feel necessary, and eventually your lips will start to feel smooth. Don't neglect the process and keep doing it properly every time.

Tips
  • Apply lip balm every day to keep lips supple and flake free.
  • Always check the ingredient on the lip balm if you are allergic to any chemicals.
  • instead of using a washcloth use a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips.

Warnings
  • Do not rub the washcloth too much or else you'll end up with burning lips.
