Whenever you are sick (have a cold) keeping hydrated w/ water is always the best idea. Sodas- though providing hydration don't work too well because they also have caffeine which makes you urinate it all out and then some more. I've always liked Alka Seltzer Plus Cold. Remember, they only help w/ symptoms as they do not treat the cold. Colds are caused by viruses which we don't have any treatments for (ie. HIV)

Recommend Vicks DayQuil or NightQuil, fast cure! As for beverages, always drink TEA! It helps cleaning up your digest system and give you a longer life! If you believe it ... and Jesus. Good luck.

I mix Apple Cider Vinegar, honey and lemon juice together and take that or if you can tolerate the taste try gargling Apple Cider Vinegar and water .Hope it feels better soon

Water, water, water and more water. Water flushes the body and the more hydrated you are the better you will feel.

Okay first if you have been sick for more then 3-4 days you should get ahold of your doctor first...Then as everyone is telling you drink loads of water or even all natral juices too but nothing acidy...get LOADS of sleep! and take long hot showers!

first of all you should put the soda aside and drink plenty of water.
also try to take a vitamin c supplement. ideally 1000mg a day.
zinc is also good to take, as is echinnacea.
if you can drink herbal tea with honey this is also good. i tend to take honey on it's own as well.
gargling with a good mouthwash to keep it clean.

i hope some of these help.
