Which foods are best for lowering bad cholesterol?

vaspronp
The best thing is to limit the intake of animal products. If you want to add a food, make it soluable fiber. Soluable fiber foods have been proven to lower your cholesteral level. Those foods include oatmeal, dried beans and legumes.

To lower you Cholesterol you need to increase the Good and Decrease the Bad. What I mean is there are two types of Cholesterol, HDL & LDL. HDL (High Density Lipoproteins) are the Good Cholesterol, you can find HDLs in olive oil, almonds, and walnuts. Exercise will also increase your body's production of HDL's which will aid in lowering your Cholesterol. Try an experiment. Have a Cholesterol reading performed then change your diet for two weeks by eating at least a serving of almonds or walnuts and other foods that will increase your HDL's per day. After your two week experiment, get another reading and see if there is a decrease. Including exercise will be beneficial on multiple levels. Hope this helped :o)
