A PAINFULL story!!?
okay about 2years ago this was!!?? i was sleeping one night when out of the blue i felt this horrible pain in my side waist near my back and lower hip!! it would not go away i was crying my eyes out at night it was a shrap stinging pain. i passed urine but it still kept on killing i then was rushed to a&e after tests everything was normal but the pain was still unbearble the doctor said it might be appen-dititus (sori about spelling!) he then gave me morphine and i was fine later they did xray and that was normal he said it might have been a kidney stone??!! and i was sent home with paracetomol. i lost a stone or half in weight and had a flu afterwards what could it be beacause 6months later i had the same pain in the same spot and as worse. it really scares me what was it any ideas (no i was/am not pregnant lol) plezz ans if u no! :)
Go to your GP and ask him/her to refer you to another hospital for investigation. Doctors are just as likely to make mistakes as anyone else.

When I had that happen. The nurse at the ER tried to say it was heartburn, and I had to set her straight (had already had 2 kids, knew what heartburn was). Well turns out I had a galstone stuck in the neck of my galbladder, they had to remover my galbladder within the next 3 days.

GO SEE YR DOCTOR ASAP! it could be many things, including an infection to the bladder, like u said, kidney stones and much else.

Get a second opinion from a different doctor. That's not normal, and continuing to wait can do more damage.

Zippi, it sure sounds like kidneys stones. I have had so many stones, I call myself a human b-b gun...lol. My suggestion is to find a urologist on your medical plan and make an appointment. He or she will be able to take x-rays and also do a test that involves putting dye through your body and then taking an x-ray. The dye helps because it stops at the site of a stone and is much more accurate than a regular xray. Sometimes you cannot see a stone in a regular x-ray due to many, many factors. Oh, and the dye test does NOT hurt. The urologist will also take a urine sample to see if there is any trace of blood in your urine. Sometimes there is blood in the urine that is not detectable by the human eye. Only a lab can run tests to detect this. And, yes, having a kidney stone is one of the worse pains out there. Probably another kidney stone. Stay away from soda and other caffiene things as they are large contributers to kidney stones. Go see your doctor again, and if its another stone, research more about them to find out what foods you should eat to avoid them and what foods cause them
