I want to stop growing!! Please help?
Ok. So I am 13 and 5'0". You can say I'm short, but for my cheer team, I am very tall. I used to be a flyer when I was on a team much older than me, and I loved it! Now I can only base. I have always wanted to be short, but I am growing. Is there a way to stop? I don't think I hit my growth spurt, and yes, I have started my period. Thanks =D oh yeah! My mommy is 5'4" and my dad is5'8"

There is no healthy way to stunt your growth. There are certainly unhealthy ways to stunt your growth such as under eating but that would be a very big mistake as you will ruin your health in the process. Anorexia will shorten your lifespan and your short life will be plagued by constant ill health due to a very weak immune system and you will also feel very weak and very tired all the time. Most girls who are only 5'0 would prefer to be a lot taller. For a woman a good height is 5'5+ as below 5'5 is generally regarded as short. Whilst you wish to remain stuck at 5'0 for now you must also think of the future. When you get older you would undoubtedly prefer to be taller. Girls usually stop growing at 15 so you will probably only grow taller for another 2 years to peak at 5'2 and that is quite short.

There will be a life after cheerleading. It will be full of activities that might not be possible for someone only 5'0". Don't fixate on what is lost, focus on what you are gaining. 5' or 6', or anything in between, just be healthy.
