what happens if you don't treat cellulitis of the eye?
If you don't get treated it will spread probably to the rest of your face. You need to go treated in the hospital with an IV antibiotics. Why take that chance.

A few years ago I had cellulitis in my face. Because it was NEAR my eye, I would up in the hospital on intravenous antibiotics.
Want to run the risk of very serious eye damage, perhaps blindness? Get to a dr. ASAP.

Maybe, I can tell you what happened to me. I had a wound on my ankle last November, that a doctor didn't treat with Antibiotics when he should have. I ended up in the ER twice because it wouldn't heal properly, even after a doctor started me on Antibiotics. I had Celllulitis! I had to stay for two days twice in a hospital in a Care Management Unit. And, the last time my leg was going red with infection up my leg, and it was hot to the touch. I had to have strong Antibiotics by IV in my hand. And, if you don't get help and treatment, yes, you can end up dying! If you don't have a Primary Care doctor, the go right now to the ER!!!!
