type 1 diabetes and claiming benifits?
i would just like to know if there is anything i could claim, also if i have to adminiter the shotsfor my husband am i classed as his carer

Carl
Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes can be claimed on if you meet the stardards for Social Security. If you catch your diabetes too late in life or, if you have diabetes complications. Type 1 is the worst one, it seems to sneak upon you and, it occurs mostly when you are young. When you are young, you have that youthful energy and most of the time you feel really good. Most young peole chark up the bad things that are happening to their bodies as nothing to worry about. They say to themselves it wil go away put it out of your mind and do not thing twice about it. Think positive and all that junk. By the time they catch on that something is very wrong with their health. They have had the disease for awhile. Then, they are in danger of getting all those complications of diabetes. This leads them to not being able to wrok and, they must go on disability while they are getting their diabetes under control. People will never be able to keep their blood sugar levels under control forever. Our bodies are broken and parts of us do not work right. Just how long you figure a broken part in a car engine will run before it completely stops working? You do have the right to apply for disability for your Diabetes anytime you like on line at www.socialsecurity.gov go check them out.

Unless the diabetes is causing a person not to work. But, I don't know anyone with diabetes who is unable to work. As I said in my previous post, the people I know with diabetes all run businesses and are wealthy people. And no, I don't think you'd be classed as his carer for administering his shots.
