Solution for low blood sugar in the mornings?
I used to only have blood sugar issues in the daytime after a lot of activity and not enough food. I would only get it every once in a while after waking up, so it was never a big issue. But now I wake up every day and have the weakness, dizziness, and feeling very weak. Is there something that I can do before going to bed that could solve this? I have a habit of midnight snaking, so it seems like I shouldn't be having this issue at all and I know I don't have diabetes. So maybe I'm eating all the wrong things before bed?

First, before you do anything, you should figure out whether you actually are suffering from low blood sugar. Buy a home glucose meter and test yourself when you feel this way. If you do have low blood sugar in the morning, then eating before bed can help. Avoid simple sugars because, although they will raise your blood sugar, you'll just crash shortly after and potentially go even lower than you were before you ate. Foods that don't stimulate your pancreas to make a lot of insulin--fat, protein, and some complex carbohydrates--will stay with you longer and won't provoke any reactive hypoglycemia like sugar will. Before bed, you might have a mozzarella string cheese stick and some peanut butter on celery. The problem, of course, is that you could gain weight by eating so much before bed, but this could help with the hypoglycemia, if that's what you are experiencing.

Do you use a glucometer to test to confirm that it is low blood sugar? Perhaps it's something else?

You know that you don't have, or might be, borderline Diabetic? Ok, so then you have had a Glucose Tolorence test done recently right ? The only other thing I would consider doing is, have a Glass of Orange Juice when this come on. see how that goes for you.
