Possible things wrong with me?
~I lose interest in things easily- for example, a book I've been waiting for, when I finally get the chance to get it, I just pass it up, thinking it might not be as great as I hoped for; when playing a game, it's cool the first few times, then, a few days into it, I get bored and abandon it; a project I think of interesting I forget about for something else that seems more interesting. I always come up bored. ~I get distracted easily- Example: While reading a book, within the first few pages I get distracted by another book I rarely finish. ~I find it hard to concentrate- example: when a teacher is explaining something, I'll get distracted by my thoughts or imagination or a piece of dust floating by and miss the entire lesson. ~I get headaches in school all the time- mostly around 12 in the afternoon though. ~I have insomnia ~I eat when I'm not hungry- it's a feeling that I get that makes me want to eat in my throat, though my stomach isn't really begging for food. I eat when I'm bored, too, and get hungry at the most unusual times. ~I have nostalgia when I'm alone. ~I daydream all of the time, for hours on end. While doing this, I usually pace around the house, but my family usually stops me and asks what I'm doing. ~I don't feel guilty, down, sad, or anything like that. ~I'm very forgetful of things. Example: my mother asks me to get something for her, and as soon as I leave the room, I forget about it and get in trouble. ~I hate social situations. I usually pass up an invite from friends in fear of getting embarrassed. I hardly leave the house anymore because of that, besides school. ...I'm only 14. Is there anything wrong with me? And don't suggest I go to my school counselor or anything like that because I don't trust people like that. I'm not alone all of the time. I DO have friends, and a little sister that I hang out with and talk to all of the time.

The daydreaming and pacing sounds like what I have, which is called Maladaptive Daydreaming. It's a condition that causes excessive daydreaming. Take a look at this article and see if this sounds like you: http://daydreamingdisorder.webs.com/ I have this problem. I've been excessively daydreaming my whole life since I was a very small child. There are actually a lot of people with this problem. There are even forums online about it: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/maladaptivedaydreamers/ http://wildminds.ning.com/ Obviously, no one can diagnosis you over the internet. At only fourteen, this could be temporary or just a phase that you are going through. I would try to nip it in the bud NOW if possible. Perhaps you might want to talk to your parents about all of this. Best of luck and hope this all helps. You can write me (by clicking on my name) if you want to ask me any questions about Maladaptive Daydreaming.

I think you are just depressed. I have been depressed a lot in different stages of my life. The best thing to do is to to the reasons behind it. Change your way of thinking, thus changing your attitude. You can do to a shrink, but then they will probably give you antidepressants. Believe me you don't want to do that. I have tried them, and they are nasty. The side effects might be worse than depression itself! I hope you get better soon!

It sounds like you spend a lot of time alone. If that's the case, then it sounds basically normal.
