you can detect both chlamydia and gonorrhea by urine PCR (polymerase chain reaction). You have to pee without wiping first and of course the doctor has to order the test. It would not show up on a routine urinanalysis which only tests for glucose, blood etc in the urine. The PCR works on both males and females
Only if they are actually testing for it. You have to actually ask them to test for STD's, they don't just do it automatically.
Probably. Some STD's can be detected in the blood (such as HIV, Hepatitis, and possibly even herpes or HPV). To detect others, the doctor would probably need either secretions or a cervical scraping. As far as urine, I believe chlamydia can be detected that way.
