What does Hyperexpanded lungs mean?
My X-ray results show that the lungs are moderately to markedly hyperexpanded. What does that mean? Should I see a pulmonalogist?

you mean hyperinflated? means you smoke too much. quit! you have emphysema

Solo
It may mean nothing or could be a sign of COPD, as some people refer to it as emphysema.
People with long standing history of COPD shows signs of hyperinflated/hyperexpanded lungs.

Wonderingwhy
If your lungs are hyperinflated it could be a sign of emphysema or other obstructive pulmonary disease. Do you have any symptoms like shortness of breath upon exertion or morning headaches? I'd ask my GP first then if necessary get to a good pulmonologist.
