Back pain feels like someone stabbed me?
So last night in my room I was doing some light workouts bevause I haven't worked out in months, and today when I woke up my back started hurting like heck. I was doing back workout where it's like sit-ups but you are laying on your stomach and you raise your chin from the ground, idk what it's called. Well I did likethree sets of 20 of those.

To describe my pain, it's in the middle of my back on the left side only. It feels like someone shifted my rib and stabbed my back. I can't take deep breathes or it starts hurting. I can breathe out fully fine. This has happened me once before but it was never but this bad and I didntthink much of it but it didn't go away for months.

I am a guy and 18 years old but don't workout at all.
What is this called and what can I do?

You pinched a muscle back there to cause that pain. To get rid of the pain you have to free up the muscles in your back and here's how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

You need to get your back adjusted! God a chiropractor. It is okay, it will only take a few minutes and you back will get better

Aspirin or Tylenol. A few days off work out. Then gradually start work out.

Chance are your body was not ready for that when you performed those sit-ups.
Do recover fully first before you injure yourself.

I would advise a quick visit to a clinic, doctor or ER just to be checked out. You need an xray to see inside to make sure you didn't crack a rib or pull a disc, muscle or tendon. Don't fool around asking questions on here because no one can see inside your body. It could just be a pulled muscle and a hot bath and some heat may help, but I would advise having it checked out now. Good luck.
