Why do I get head cold symptoms after working out?
It seems after consistently working out for about 2 weeks with weights and the stationery bike, I inevitably come down with head cold symptoms and feel lousy for 3-4 days. This has been the case for years. Exercise has been said to increase immune function, but for me it seems to have the opposite effect. Now, I really don't believe these head cold symptoms are really from a head cold, but rather some sort of reaction to stress. In fact, my wife and kids do not "catch" it from me, so it's obviously not contagious. Any ideas?

Well I like to ride my bike I can go up 150 miles but the first 15 I have to warm up. but I have more leg muscles than the average person to warm up. I get the same thing you are saying If I push myself too early on, Though this might not be your case, just remember warm ups are very important, just start out easy for a while. then you should feel the opposite effect.
