Well, sometimes TOO much sleep can lead to laziness and tiredness. However, with your boyfriend, I have no idea what he's talking about.

People need different amounts of sleep, because some people don't sleep as deeply as others. My husband, for example, never sleeps more than 6 hours a night, whereas I would sleep for at least 10, maybe more, if I didn't have to get up. It's because I know I am not a deep sleeper (I get up a lot at night, and it's hard for me to fall asleep at night because I have a lot of adrenaline in my system, I'm an anxious person).

A few things you can try would be not drinking any caffeine for at least 6 hours before bed, and doing something relaxing in the evening, like reading or meditating. If you still have problems, it may be time to see a doctor. It could be something more serious, like diabetes.

Dehydration and under eating are common causes of fatigue. Most people don't drink enough water.

How active are you? If you're not very active, that can make you chronically tired.
If you try going swimming/running/jogging for a week at least 30 mins a day and nothing improves, go to your doctor because it could be a sign that you have an underlying medical condition.

Hi,

It is not something to do with "oversleep" related tiredness.

Anyway it is not good for your physical body as well your emotion...:(

You should be able to find something helpful for dealing with your problem, you can go here to find out for how to get rid of your tiredness fast:

Good Luck

You may want to ask a doctor. Chances are you have sleep apnea- meaning that although you may not be awake, you're not sleeping well or deeply because of your breathing patterns. If you aren't reaching the REM level of sleep, it may keep you from feeling rested, and thus creating the tired feelings you are experiencing. Other disorders may be involved, like Insomnia or Narcolepsy, but those are more serious and you don't seem to have any serious side effects like those.
Hope this helps.
