What could this be: my knee locks up at night?
It has only happened about 3 times in the past 2 months or so and it just happened again last night. I was in bed sleeping and then as i was about to turn over, i couldn't bend my knee & when i tried to, there was a very sharp and scary pain. It lasted a couples minutes. I've mostly experienced this at night and it wakes me up. What could this be? Please don't tell me i need surgery!!! Especially since i don't have health insurance!!! :( extra info: i'm a female, 125 lbs, 25 yrs old, pretty healthy. the main exercise i'm doing right now is walking and then when i do household chores. i didn't fall on my knee or anything like that.
