If you are feeling like you are heaving breakdowns on a regular basis, what you need to do is see a psychiatrist who can prescribe you medication to prevent the feelings that you so often have. In time you will feel 100% better. Seek someone asap.

See a shrink.

If you feel comfortable and you trust the parish priest then i think you can go ahead. The important things is you must be able to express whatever that is running on your mind to someone and it would be pleasant if that someone is a person who is reliable and trustworthy.

You could talk to your priest, yes. However you might want to consider a psychiatrist also. You may help that your priest can't give you, such as medication.
