mental health therapy... is regression normal?
Ok... i am going through mental health therapy for depression and PTSD from being molested. i have been in therapy for 1 and 1/2 years and like my therapist... everything is going great there... and im on anti-depressants.. but i feel like im goign through regression... is that normal/???

Regression means that you are turning back the maturational clock & going back to your earlier modes of dealing with the world. For example, a 10 yr old boy wetting the bed. You know this, right?

If so, yes, it is actually "normal". It's one of our immature ego defenses. It also means that you haven't completely dealt with your problem as of yet & you have a lot of work to do. Google "ego defenses" & do some reading to find out where you are.
