torn ligament in ankle from a few years ago?
I some ligaments in my ankle almost 4 years ago and just rencently started feeling pain in the same spot again. What exactly could the cause of this be? It has been raining almost constantly the past month but i thought that was more with arthritis and old people (im 16)

Hoave you been active lately or just being a couch potato and not doing anything? When you sprain your ankle (tear ligaments) you usually don't use that ankle for a while or you limp and favor your other leg more. In the long run that ankle becomes weaker and becomes more likely to being injured again. And not just that ligament is weak all of the muscles around that ligament (basically your whole ankle) become weak. Over time this can cause pain in your ankle most likely due to additional strain on certain parts of your ankle or your tendons and ligaiments aren't holding bones where they are supposed to be and this can mess up the tracking of your ankle. The best thing you can do it ice it if you want to and go to some physical therapy. This will strengthen everything in and around your ankle usually making everything better. And don't wear an ankle brace because that can just make your ankle weaker. This happened to me with my knee. It started hurting a while after I hurt it and it had all ready felt better. It was during the summer when I was being a lazy couch potato. Going to Physical Therapy made it feel 100% better!

It is probably an irritation from scar tissue in the area. You need to see your sports doctor about this to see about which method would suit you to have it removed. There are a few different methods I know of. Massage is always a good one for any injury as this promotes blood flow to the area and its essentially the best way to assist the body to fix itself. If that doesn't work you may need to consider cortisone injections or even a mild steroid but you must see your doctor to do this.
