A friend of mine has been using the EGOSCUE METHOD of physical therapy (after Pete Egoscue), and I was stunned at the improvement in her posture, particularly the change in her shoulders from quite rounded (leading to hunched back) to squared and back; really lovely. The method is SO gentle, more so than yoga, as it involves no stretching. My understanding is that Pete Egoscue invented an effective method of therapy through gentle, slow movements, while bedridden and left hopeless by doctors. While the goal is relieving pain, aligning the vertebrae and other bones, ligaments and muscles is part of the benefit. I hope you can look into it:
I've done some of these movements myself, they're deceptively easy, plus the positive effects lasted several days. Reminds me of magic.
Why, SURE, if your spine began straightening, you'd become taller! Contact an Egoscue clinic and start charting your height.
