when is best time to take Diovan?

alysia_82_2000
According to my doctor, who just put me on Diovan after switching from Toprol, you can take it any time of the day or night...however, I agree with the previous answer, taking it before bed seems to make the orthostatic hypotension less of an issue(meaning, your blood pressure drops as you change from a lying position to a standing one). Whenever you DO take it, remember to rise slowly to allow your body to compensate for the lowered BP.

I am not a doctor , however i am a terminally ill heart patient , the link i am supplying has all kinds of information for this drug, i find most medications especially blood pressure medications are best taken at night ( for me ) as i dont feel dizzy when rising like i would in the morning , if in doubt , please ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Have a great day!
