The doctor just told me to get a check up with my family doctor every few months to see if it changes. I'm only 17, what exactly does this mean?

Thyroid disease can be treated. First you need to stop stressing your body, and start eating healthy foods. Diet, exercise and reducing your stress level will start your recovery. .....and see a Endocrinologist (experts in thyroid issues) not the Dr...... too many Dr's do not treat this condition as the symptoms are mild, but left untreated will eventually lead to major problems years on.
