My heart hurts when I breathe in?
I'm 16, and sometimes, out of nowhere, when I breathe in, I get a sharp pain at the bottom of my heart/lung area, so I have to take short breaths for a while until it goes away. I usually won't ever have it, but randomly once or twice a month it just happens. Could it be cancer or a disease or exercise related? I'm always afraid of having a heart attack or something like that and I don't get why it happens. How can I stop this from happening?

It sounds like you are describing pleuritic pain (sharp pain with breathing) caused by pleurisy (lining of lungs rub against each other while breathing). Pleurisy or pleuritis MAY be caused by a LOT of diffirent diseases or condition. Some cases of pleurisy are idiopathic (the cause cannot be determined). If your symptoms persist or worsens, please see your doctor (heart/lung specialist) for further testing for an accurate diagnosis.

You should see my question and see if it's the same thing. Usally mine comes randomlly almost every day usally when I'm laying down. It's a sharp pain. So I know how you feel. No one has answered my question yet though. I'm 15 by the way.
