Can i lift weights if i have a heart murmur?
I was born with a heart murmur, however, i think it went away a couple of years ago (im 17), i want to start lifting weights but i dont know if the murmur is going to affect, i dont really know if i still have it, but i have never had any serious injury or illness due to it, i think it is a harmless murmur, so could i still lift weights with a murmur? please serious questions, if any doctors are out there i would REALLY appreciate your answer.

Marika H
Yes, you can lift weights. Start with lighter weights, don't use a bunch of stupid suppliments (they're kinda pointless anyway), and add 5% weight every week to build your strength. You should probably get your heart checked out just to be sure you're okay, but lifting weights won't hurt you.
