I'm type 1 diabetic. Last night i had a gorgeous chicken caesar and banoffee pie. I love banoffee pie. As long as you have chocolate with something, and not just super sugary chocolate on it's own, and have he appropriate amount of insulin, why wouldn't you? Enjoy !

nothing is forbidden! Yes, have some chocolate but do be careful and only have a little bit. chocolate bars have a lot of fat that keeps the sugar in them from spiking the glucose too fast, so is not a good choice for hypos, but is really good for an occasional snack. dark chocolate is the recommended form! but I like milk chocolate too.

Yes you can, just check your blood sugar levels and compensate for the amount of sugar you ingested. Try to make sure your blood sugar doesn't get over 225 if possible, preferably stay under 200. Hope this helps.

Absolutely! Not too much, though. Be sure to give yourself enough insulin to cover any snacks you eat.

Corbin
Of course you can. Just be sure not to eat too much. People with diabetes can eat sugar, they just can't eat a lot of it and when they do eat sugar, they may need to check their blood glucose and give themselves some insulin.
