What can I do if my folate is twice what it should be? How can this affect me. I have had bariatric surgery.?

Your doctor can best advise you of what to do. However, high folate (AKA Folic Acid, or B9) levels can mask low B12 levels. You need another blood test to determine what your vitamin levels are. Then you can properly adjust your diet and supplements. In the meantime, unless otherwise advised by medical personnel, stop taking any folate supplements and take some B12 supplements instead, just to be on the safe side.
