I bought one and my family has one person suffer from diabet .It said it doesnt contain sugar .but when i drink i find that it is still sweet ,so do you know what contain in the product make it sweet ...
it depends on what kind of insulin you are taking like regular insulin which is short acting . the NPH is moderate acting . and lantus which is the long acting one . and this is given according to sliding scale . blood sugar level should be checked before the shot to avoid hypoglycemia . the worst complication s for diabetics .or uncontrolled sugar.
Why aren't you discussing this with your doctor? You shouldn't leave that office until you have every single insulin question answered and fully understood. Insulin's are different, my husband uses Lantus which is a time released 24 hour insulin. He just started using insulin about 2 months ago and we asked every question we could think of and made sure we understood everything, very very well.
Your doctor is the ONLY one who could answer this question for you.
as a nurse, we medicate our patients with the sliding scale before meals and at bedtime. so approx 4 times a day. but some pts take other forms of insulin as well (lantus for example). i suggest u follow ur md orders.
