enamel disintegration?

Rating
thr r 3 types-abrasion, attrition nd erosion.
wrong brushin technique is the most common cause of "abrasion", i.e. horizontal brushin, excess pressure nd use of hard or medium strength bristles where soft might b preferable.
"attrition" mostly is the result of a habit known as bruxism (grindin of teeth); may occur due to presence of sharp cusps or dental fillings on the opposin tooth. though this is a physiological process that occurs with age. bruxers can get custom made night guards to prevent attrition.
"erosion" is a result of heavy intake of acidic foods. in some cases it occurs in a disorder known as bullemia, which is more frequent in females, wherein acidic regurgitation takes place.
smtimes, whn "enamel formation" itself is defective during the prenatal period(before birth), thn enamel loss is early after birth.
common "symptom" of enamel loss is sensitivity.
"treatment"...is tooth cappin and in severe cases root canal treatment followed by capping.
