best Probiotics for sensitive stomachs that is dairy, gluten and soy free?
every one I've tried makes my stomach REALLY upset for days. And at first I just thought it was the " die off" of bad bacteria, but it's lasted for 7 days and keeps going, I should be better by now. What's a good probiotic that doesn't contain gluten, dairy and soy? also even a childrens one would be good. thanks so much!

Udo's usually found at the health food store. There are plenty of others. Ask someone knowledgeable at the store to help you.

Try Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics 12 Plus. I have found this product for me and my daughter, 100% vegetarian,No Dairy, No Soy, No Gluten,Non GMO. It works so well for us and we hope it helps you too. Good luck! http://www.famousherbs.com/dr-ohhiras-probiotics-12-plus-60-caps-p-90.html

Probiotics are nothing more than a dose of the bacteria which should normally be found in the gut. Those are most often found in fermented products- yogurt is only one of those. You will also find them in things like sauerkraut and kimchi, just to name two. The key there is to get a product that was not sterilized in the canning process. Some health food shops also carry a rice milk type of yogurt, which is live culture as well. One last thing to look into is brewer's yeast, which you can get in a spread like Vegamite and Marmite, though those are hard to find in the US. I believe you can get brewer's yeast in a health food shop though. Truthfully though, you might should consider visiting a gastroenterologist and have a proper exam to determine exactly what your trouble is first. Nothing probiotic should cause an upset, as the bacteria are a normal part of us all. It may be your problem isn't the bacteria, but something in the food itself- the dairy, gluten or soy, and you need to know exactly which. A probiotic dairy food should not cause problems due to lactose intolerance, but could if you were allergic to milk proteins, for instance. In the meantime, it's organic sauerkraut or kimchi for you.
