There is laser surgery available these days and there is no risk involved . However if not interested in that then he can use some homeopathic medicines like Berberis Vol-mother tincture for three to four months. If the stones are of not very big size then chances are there that it will remove the stones from kidney. |

Oh,oh,oh I´m very sorry about the answers you got... I think Janie hit it quiet close. Don´t try this oil lemon juice thing, because that's against gallstones and is not to recommend with kidney problems! There is one herbal kidney cleansing which works and isn´t painful but takes about 6 weeks. with doing this you or better your dad will get rid of all kidney stones and probably with them of a lot of other problems... I am an Asian and I will pass to you what I did when I had kidney stone pains. I know that you can see these plants in San Diego as I was informed. You can go to an Oriental or Filipino store and asked for "Banaba Tea". This is the commercial version. Drink the boiled leaves and drink one glass in the morning, the moment you wake up without even brushing your teeth, then one before going to bed. This leaves will make you use the rest room more often. Then you will feel that the kidney stone is wash away by your urine. I cannot guarantee you about this but for me it worked well. |

To help things along while deciding which method to use, have your dad drink massive amounts of cranberry juice, as pure as you can find. This is an aid not a cure.

There was a herbalist on the radio a few weeks ago and she said that if you have a 50/50 solution of lemon juice and olive oil, pour it onto asperagus tips and you have only that for three days it will dissolve the stones. She did go on to say that it would be disgusting and you would never eat it again. The reason I remembered is because my brother has just had them removed from both kidney's and I had one some years ago. Good luck to your dad I know they hurt like hell. |

Kidney stones are very serious. My mom almost died from them.
However, when she went to the hospital, she didn't have to go through surgery. I hope I am remembering this correctly...
The doctors put my mom to sleep and then put my mom in a large tub full of water. Then they used a machine that sent some type of sonic waves through her kidneys. The waves broke up the kidney stones into pieces small enough for her to urinate out.
You will have to check with a doctor about this. I do not know if I am telling you the correct procedure, or if it is even a procedure that they do any more. But it won't hurt to ask...

I don't envy your dad, those things hurt like a son of a b*tch! NO herbal remedy will help. NO "natural" remedies exist. Surgery is not the only option, however. Better medical centers have a device called a "lithotripter" which uses ultrasound to break up the stones so that they can be passed the natural way. It is not a painful proceedure, either. Pops should ask his doctor about that option. |

drink lots of water i guess.. i mean the only thing he can do from what ive herd is pass it. Its pretty painful but he will pass it. Just be careful. If it doesnt get better too soon then you should have him see a doctor. |

well there is laser surgery open cut surgery or lithotripsy which is smash with sound waves... never heard fo any that get rid of them apart from jumping up and down to move themand living withthe excruciating pain of renal colic... trust me I know I have had loads of them had open surgery twice and laser 4 times... |
