Why is My whole body flushed red and then it goes away?
ok, this is for my step mother, she is 48 years old and for the past week or so she has been having this very strange occurrence that hits her and the goes away as if nothing has happened. She will be sitting n the couch and all of a sudden her whole entire body will turn beet red like a sunburn and she says she is extremely hot and her hands and feet are stinging and then within a few moments it goes away, this happens about five times a day or more. She does see a doctor regularly, she does not have high blood pressure or diabetes, but she does have Hep c, which is scaring her because she thinks maybe something is wrong with her liver. Her doctors are unsure what is causing it, maybe something she could be allergic too, but she has not done anything different...im just hoping someone has had similar symptoms and could lead us into another direction. she does not smoke or drink, she is on a fluid pill 'demadex" for the swelling in her legs. thanks for reading.

Baa Baa
Sounds like a typical hot flash from menopause to me. I don't know why her doctor has not thought of this. Maybe he has, but is not 100% sure that is the cause. She's at the right age to start having menopause symptoms and a hot flash is exactly what you describe. They are harmless and won't hurt her other than cause her a lot of discomfort when it happens. There is medication that can help her if they get too bad.

hot flashes(: its a sign of menopause, and its absolutely harmless. just make sure she gets lots of fluids. preferably water. and keep her in a cool enviorment. and shes 48, so its completely normal. look its up on google.
