It's not shingles. Shingles would not take a shape like that and it would not increase in size because it will effect an entire nerve distribution. Without more information I cannot help. But I will say it is not shingles. |

Can be a symptom of allergic reaction.
If so your doctor will prescribe you a simple allergic test.
So go to your family doctor and if necessary the doctor will fix an appointment with dermatologist.

The actual name...dunno. But if it has gonne on for over 4 days, see a doctor. My mom had a similar situation and it didn't grow out but it began to give her other pain everywhere else in her body. (do not scratch) |

It's not ringworm, ringworm is an actual circle with "normal" skin in the middle.
Im not sure what you have, but I got one that sounds similar on my jaw line. But it's about 2" oval, doesn't really itch, and has kind of dried out a little bit. It just kind of looks like a red area. I don't know....I shouldn't have taken 2 klonipin! |

There is a common skin condition called pityriasis rosea. Your rash sounds as though it could be this. If it is, don't worry - it's a self-limited disease that is thought by some experts to be a mild virus. If it is pityriasis rosea, it could get much worse before it gets better and could take up to six weeks to clear. You can treat the itchiness with some hydrocortisone cream. A fungal infection would not spread that fast. Go to a dermatologist if you get worse. |

Keep a check on them if they keep spreading you might have shingles. Are you running a fever? Get to the Doctor. |

could be ringworm or maybe spider bites. i have had spider bites that do that. my doc gave me antibiotics for it. |

omg i am also 24 and have the same thing on my kneck at first i thought it was a ringworm and after a few weeks realized i dotn have it any where els ein my body a ring worm woul have spread and its fully red not just a circle it just gets worse and i had it since dec 05 i think it mgith be the spider bite because it started off as a bug bite good luck if u find anythign out let me know |

Sounds like ring worm to me. Try Lotramin. You may want to see a doctor if the over the counter meds dont clear it up pretty fast because it may spread. |

Maybe Shingles? I know shingles starts, and goes around the waist. Check it out, but mainly go see a Dr. |
