How did humans first get AIDS?
I thought I heard somewhere that humans have only had AIDS for about fifty years. The rumor I heard was that we got it from a primate being used for medical research. Is any of that true?...

Aids and some Q just curios my friend sent theses Q to me?
if u can answer these that would be cool
25- Who does it affect?
26- Why did it spread so quickly and widely? (What did it become a pandemic?)
27- Why didn't the government of the US in the 80s do enough to prevent aids outbreak?
28- What did the church in the 80s do to help aids victims? How did they treat them?
29- What did the governments in other countries do to prevent aids? Give examples.
30- How were the people who had aids treated? Why? (Give examples from the episodes we watched)
31- Why can't humans immune system detect and kill the Human Immunodeficiency Virus?
32- How does HIV kill people?
33- Is there a cure for aids? What is the cost?
34- Currently what is being done to prevent aids from spreading so quickly? how do poor countries cope with this problem?
35- What does UN do to help?

25- Who does it affect?

It affects anyone silly enough to accept the diagnosis based on tests that the manufacturers themselves say not to use for diagnosis purposes

26- Why did it spread so quickly and widely?

The number of TESTS given spread quickly and widely - giving the false impression of a pandemic

30- How were the people who had aids treated? Why?

The first 5 people diagnosed were treated with Septrim (the most powerful anti-biotic). Subsequent case were mostly treated using AZT (a very toxic chemotherapy, that was previously rejected for ANY use because it was too toxic)

31- Why can't humans immune system detect and kill the Human Immunodeficiency Virus?

This question is WRONG WRONG WRONG. The human immune system ALWAYS kills the virus - a sample of living HIV virus has NEVER been isolated.

32- How does HIV kill people?
It causes them to take toxic drugs - poisoning themselves

33- Is there a cure for aids? What is the cost?
The cure is to face the facts that there are no facts to support the AIDS hypothesis and stop the insanity

34- Currently what is being done to prevent aids from spreading so quickly? how do poor countries cope with this problem?

Nothing is being done - too much money is being made by to many people to stop the lies.

35- What does UN do to help?

Nothing. They propagate the lies that are fed to them through big pharma and the government organizations that take orders from them

31- the virus morphs so every time our ammune system trys to kill it with antibodys they can't
32-the virus itself doesn't kill people. it weakens the ammune system so it cant fight off other viruses that will kill you. they can be as simple as the flu
33-no cure. there are medicines that help replenish white blood cells and its expencive.

Q31. The human system can't detect and kill the HIV virus because the virus attacks the white blood cells, the cells that are needed to find and destroy infections. It's pretty sneaky.

Q32. HIV doesn't kill people, that's just the virus which attacks the white blood cells. However, once enough white blood cells are affected, the body's immune system gets much weaker, leading to a CONDITION called AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). This condition means someone is much more likely to get sick from any infections they get. Their body can't fight it off, so things like pneumonia are life-threatening. AIDS sufferers are also more likely to get certain types of cancer (such as Kaposi's Sarcoma).

Q33. No cure for HIV (therefore no cure for AIDS).

The first thing you need to learn is AIDs and HIV are not the same thing. HIV leads to an AID. And many of your questions are based on misinformation.

Smart_Monkey
Wayyyyy to many questions. Try asking some at two or three at a time. Then you might get more answers.

Okay, I'll answer a few...
25-HIV/AIDS can affect anyone. Right now the highest individuals contracting the disease are the african-americans, young adults, and there is an increase in the elderly.
26-It spread so quickly because people wanted to stereotype that this was a gay disease and therefore did nothing when it started to make an appearance.
27-See 26.
28-Which church? From my history, the majority of churches did nothing because some believe that God was punishing gay people for being gay.
30-People with AIDS were treated with great discrimination. See the movie Philadelphia. My uncle who had AIDS was fired from his job when they found out.
31-The human immune system does not recognize the virus because it attaches itself to specific receptors on T-cells and overtake its DNA. People who do not have these receptors appear to be "immune" from HIV. There is only a very documented few who lack these receptors.

In Australia, the very successful 'Grim Reaper' television campaign had a big impact on the Australian public. Australia has one of the world's lowest transmission rates of the virus today, due to successful and practical public health campaigns and services.

Here's an informative link which gives information and history from various countries (including the US):

http://www.avert.org/his87_92.htm

and here's a link to the Australian tv ad (it's pretty scary, even though it is old fashioned):

This was shown on prime time tv in Australia in the 1980s and really scared people!

Here are other links to information about HIV/Aids today, including treatments and information about churches and Aids, and the UN's role:

Good luck with your research :-)
